Vivo a Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, il posto più ventoso del mondo. La terra qui è rossa, come lo sono alcuni degli abitanti del luogo. Ho iniziato a viaggiare seriamente circa due anni fa, ed è diventata una specie di droga ormai, che scandisce il passare del mio anno. Intorno a Dicembre o Giugno qualcosa comincia a muoversi dentro di me – Devo muovermi! Ovunque vada mi porto la mia vecchia Canon FT QL e qualche rullino. E’ un vecchio attrezzo, ma fa bene il suo lavoro, anzi a volte fa davvero ottime foto. Le mie preferite sono di solito quelle che riflettono il mio sentirmi davvero piccolo. Sviluppare i rullini è come rivivere il viaggio. Anche esperienze che hai già vissuto possono sorprenderti.
I live in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the windiest place on earth. The ground here is red, and so are some of the people. I started taking travel seriously about two years ago, and it has become a sort of addiction that marks the rhythms of my year. Usually, around December or June a feeling starts working its way through me—I need to get out! Wherever I go, I bring with me my old Canon FT QL camera and a few rolls of film. It’s a dusty rig, but it gets the job done and makes for some unique photos. My favorites usually reflect how small I feel compared to my surroundings. Developing the film is like reliving the journey. Even those experiences you’ve already had can surprise you.
